Why do Fortum ads follow me online?

To make our products and services better known, we advertise them online. We try to find opportunities to target marketing to people who might be interested in the services in question. Advertisements you see are very often based on a cookie that has been sent to your browser after you’ve visited our website or a particular page, and on the basis of which we determine that you might be interested in our services. We also buy ad placements that are visible to everyone, i.e. regardless of browsing history.

How can I block telemarketing?

If necessary, Fortum will call you to make sure your contract is in order and that it meets your needs as fully as possible. During the telephone call, it may also be a good idea to check that the personal information we have about you is up to date.

One way to prevent all phone sales is to have a marketing prohibition put in place by the Data and Marketing Association of Finland https://www.asml.fi/kieltopalvelut . Fortum complies with any such restrictions that have been put in place
